We do lots of cooking together.

Playdough

Ingredients:

  • Self-raising flour
  • Greek Yoghurt

Utensils:

  • 1 cup measure
  • 1/2 cup measure
  • Bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Sieve

Instructions:

  1. Measure the ingredients.
  2. Put them in a bowl.
  3. Stir them together.
  4. Knead them together.
  5. Play.

Pizza dough

Ingredients:

  • Self-raising flour

Utensils:

  • 1 cup measure
  • 1/cup measure
  • Bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Sieve

Instructions:

  1. Measure the ingredients.
  2. Put them in a bowl.
  3. Stir them together.
  4. Knead them together.

Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • Plain flour
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Oil

Utensils:

  • 1 cup measure
  • Bowl
  • Sieve
  • Mixing spoon
  • Measuring spoon (tea spoon)
  • Frying pan

Instructions:

  1. Measure the ingredients.
  2. Sieve the flour into the bowl.
  3. Stir in the milk, a little at a time.
  4. Crack the egg into a second bowl.
  5. Add the egg and the oil to the batter.
  6. Beat them together.
  7. Get a grown-up to cook the pancakes.

Easy cup cakes

Easy cupcakes recipe in pictures

Ingredients:

  • Self-raising flour
  • Unsalted butter
  • Eggs
  • Caster sugar
  • Baking powder
  • Vanilla extract

Utensils:

  • 1 cup
  • 1/2 cup
  • 1/4 cup
  • Bowl
  • Sieve
  • Mixing spoon
  • Measuring spoon (1/2 tea spoon)
  • Lined muffin tin

Instructions:

  1. Put the oven on to heat to 170°C.
  2. Measure the ingredients.
  3. Line the muffin tin.
  4. Sieve the flour and sugar into the bowl.
  5. Chop the butter into small bits. Add them to the sugar.
  6. Rub the butter, flour, and sugar together.
  7. Crack the egg into a second bowl. Stir it into the batter.
  8. Mix in the baking powder.
  9. Stir in the vanilla essence.
  10. Spoon the batter into the muffin tin.
  11. Get a grown-up to put the tin in the oven. Bake the cup cakes for 15 to 20 minutes.

Marie's lemon drizzle cake

Ingredients:

  • Self-raising flour
  • Unsalted butter
  • Eggs
  • Caster sugar
  • Lemon zest

Utensils:

  • 1 cup measure
  • Bowl
  • Sieve
  • Mixing spoon
  • Lined loaf tin
  • Grater or zester

Instructions:

  1. Put the oven on to heat to 180°C.
  2. Measure the ingredients.
  3. Line the cake tin.
  4. Sieve the sugar into the bowl.
  5. Chop the butter into small bits. Add them to the sugar.
  6. Rub the butter and sugar together.
  7. Crack the egg into a second bowl. Stir it into the batter.
  8. Sieve the flour into the bowl.
  9. Grate in a bit of lemon zest. Stir the batter.
  10. Spoon the batter into the cake tin.
  11. Get a grown-up to put the tin in the oven. Bake the cake tin for 45 to 50 minutes.
