Daffodils and violets
Nearby the purple violets, daffodils a bit further away. In the background are the covered seats and cupboards where we keep our equipment. Someone has left their jacket hanging up.

It's early Spring, so the ground is pretty bare. On the left nearby is a compost bin. Further away are raised beds to the left and the covered seats and storage cupboards on the right. Far away, on the left is a water butt and on the right a rotary compost maker. Furthest away are the gate and the school entrance.

The earth is mostly bare, with a few daffodils here and there. In the middle is a large tree trunk, reaching upwards. The main thing is the long bank of covered seats. The seats lift up to reveal storage for our Forest School equipment. A blue plaque celebrates our former colleague, Lin Mustafa. She gardened here with the children for 25 years before she retired.

The pond is covered with a domed metal lattice. Behind it peeps a clay statue of a creature the children call 'The Monster'. Not much is growing yet, but an evergreen tree is growing over the fence towards us, and a bush is thriving on the right.

Sitting on the Forest School seats, looking across the Spring garden. Against the school wall is the cold frame, made of wood and glass. In the middle, a young tree grows through a big tyre. A watering can lies discarded on the left. Daffodils and a bit of grass, but not much else is growing yet.

Nearby are two raised beds. A garden sieve has been left in one. Four big tyres are used as small raised beds. Far off are the compost bin on the left, the Monster in the middle, and the pond on the right. The back fence on the left is made of pale orange wooden battens. The wall at the back on the right is painted white.
